Our commitment
GetHomeAuctionSites wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a screen magnifier, voice control or only a keyboard. Accessibility is part of how we build, not a feature added at the end.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a target we work towards and test against, not a certification: no independent audit of this site has been published.
What we do on this site
- One main heading per page and a logical heading order below it, so the page makes sense to assistive technology.
- A "skip to content" link, full keyboard access to navigation, menus, carousels and forms, and a visible focus outline.
- Text and interactive elements checked for readable contrast in both the light and dark themes.
- Text alternatives on every meaningful photograph; decorative drawings are hidden from screen readers.
- Animation that respects the "reduce motion" setting on your device: the moving contour lines draw one still frame and carousels stop.
- An accessibility panel for text size, contrast, reduced motion and link highlighting.
- Form fields with visible labels, clear error messages and no time limits.
Known limitations
Booking calendars, chat and some forms can be loaded from third-party services. We choose providers with accessibility in mind, but their embedded content is outside our direct control. If one of them blocks you, email us and we will help directly.
The sites we build for clients
Every client site is built with the same practices and launches with its own accessibility statement. Accessibility law and expectations in the United States, including the ADA, are something each business should review with its own attorney; this statement describes our build practice and is not legal advice.
How to report a problem
If anything on this site is hard to use, email hello@gethomeauctionsites.com with the page address and what happened. A person replies within one working day during business hours (9:00 to 17:00 Central Time, Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays), and we can send the information you need in another format.
